Spabreaks.com is a dynamic and growing business, transitioning from private ownership into trade ownership with strong private equity backing. Established in 2007, Spabreaks.com made an immediate name within the travel sector and quickly became Europe’s leading Spa Travel Agency. Having opened with just 2 staff and 25 UK based venues, we have grown to a team of 65, working with over 550 of the world’s leading spa hotels in the UK and Ireland. We send away over 6000 travellers each week and have won multiple industry awards. We are a digital leader in the industry with over 90% of our customers booking online and end-to-end connectivity with our valued spa partners.
We're looking for a Project/Product Manager to own the design, ticketing, and build of a new back office system for managing bookings and availability for venues listed on our marketplace platform. This is a 12-month, fixed-term project role — a hands-on delivery position where you'll translate business and operational needs into clear requirements, manage the ticket backlog, and coordinate design and engineering through to launch.
Key Responsibilities- Own the end-to-end delivery of the back office system, from discovery through to launch and iteration
- Gather and prioritise requirements from internal stakeholders (ops, commercial, customer service)
- Translate requirements into well-specified tickets (user stories, acceptance criteria) for design and engineering
- Manage the build backlog day-to-day: prioritisation, sprint planning, and unblocking the team
- Coordinate UAT and rollout, including any data migration from existing tools
- Proven experience as a Project/Product Manager delivering internal tools or back office systems, ideally in a marketplace, travel, or booking/reservations context
- Comfortable writing clear tickets and specs that engineers and designers can work from directly
- Experience working with availability/inventory or scheduling systems is a strong plus
- Confident managing multiple stakeholders with competing priorities
- Familiar with agile delivery tools and techniques
- Strong communicator — able to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa
- Experience with marketplace platforms (two-sided supply/demand)
- Background in hospitality, leisure, or travel tech
