Spa Terminus is the landlord to a community of food and drink producers and distributors housed in the railway arches of Bermondsey.Our tenants supply exceptional products to destinations throughout London and the UK.
We are looking for a part or fully qualified accountant to join the team.This is a part-time, office-based and permanent role (25.5 hours per week).It will suit someone with accountancy experience who would enjoy working in-house at a property management company specialising in tenants supplying quality food and drinks.The job is based at our office in Bermondsey.
Key responsibilities
- Handling all aspects of the day-to-day accounting, from invoice production and credit control to purchase invoice posting, bank reconciliations, payroll and VAT returns
- Preparing and presenting quarterly management accounts including cashflow and budgets to the management team
- Preparing the year end accounts to trial balance and being the main point of contact for the external accountants and tax advisors
- Preparing and maintaining the service charge budget
- Other tasks as required, such as annual insurance renewals, providing ad hoc financial analysis and managing loan agreements
- Working closely with the Head of Estates on tenant and estate issues.
Required
- Full or part-qualified accountant.
- A self-starter, someone happy to work alone but also to interact with the management team, tenants and contractors
- Accuracy and attention to detail as well as good organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Working knowledge of Sage 200
- Experience of managing service charge budgets
£35k-£45k per annum, depending on qualifications and experience

5 weeks annual leave plus public holidays, pro rata
