We are excited to be recruiting a Salaried GP to join our established practice for 3 sessions per week. Main duties of the job
- Consulting with patients to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment and care, offering both face-to-face and remote consultations.
- Managing acute and chronic medical conditions, providing evidence-based care in line with current guidelines.
- Undertaking administrative duties relating to patient care, including referrals, prescriptions, and record-keeping, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Contributing to the practice's commitment to quality improvement and participation in clinical audits.
- Engaging in clinical team meetings and collaborating with our healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient management.
- Supporting the training of future GPs as part of our commitment as a training practice.
About us
We are a well-regarded and friendly training practice located in a desirable, affluent area, serving a stable patient population of approximately 6,800. Our practice is built on a foundation of strong relationships and mutual respect, fostering a collaborative atmosphere where everyone's contribution is valued. Our clinical team currently comprises four dedicated Partners and two experienced Salaried GPs, supported by an excellent nursing team, as well as an efficient administrative and reception team, and a practice manager. We also have an in-house pharmacist, a home visiting paramedic and an ACP paramedic working in the surgery alongside the team. We pride ourselves on a balanced workload, encouraging professional growth, and maintaining a positive work-life balance for all our team members. As a training practice, we are passionate about education and offer opportunities for ongoing learning and development within a stimulating academic environment.
Job responsibilities
To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of comprehensive medical services to the practice population, ensuring the highest standards of patient care are delivered in line with the GMS contract, current clinical guidelines, and practice policies. The post-holder will contribute to the effective functioning of the practice team and foster a collaborative working environment.
