Role Description

We’re looking for a motivated Distribution Area Sales Executive to join our growing team, reporting into the Head of Distribution and Electrical Wholesale. This is a field‑based role focused on growing sales and building strong relationships across electrical and building services distributors, including all TLC branches and other approved distribution partners within your territory. If you enjoy working face‑to‑face with customers, influencing at branch level, and managing your own area, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Managing and growing sales across TLC branches and other authorised distributors
  • Building strong relationships with branch managers, trade counter teams, and regional distributor contacts
  • Visiting sites regularly to ensure strong product presence, availability, and brand visibility
  • Identifying new sales opportunities within existing accounts and through new distributor relationships
  • Supporting distributors with product training, promotions, and sales initiatives
  • Keeping accurate records of visits, opportunities, and pipeline activity using the CRM system
  • Monitoring competitor activity and market trends, feeding insights back to the sales leadership team
  • Working collaboratively with Marketing, Pre‑Sales, Post‑Sales, Warehouse, and Customer Service teams
  • Managing your territory independently with a structured call cycle

What We’re Looking For

Someone based around Greater London, South East Region or South and South West Region but willingness to travel as and where required for the role which could include, the east and east midlands and other areas of the UK.

At least 2 years’ experience within the building services or electrical distribution sector
