What You’ll Do

  • Prepare tender documents and negotiate tender prices, payment schedules and terms and conditions.
  • Produce monthly valuations, commercial reports, and financial updates.
  • Apply contractual levers, including advance warnings, variations and change control processes.
  • Attend or lead commercial meetings with partners and stakeholders.
  • Agree final accounts and maintain accurate commercial records.
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes and industry standards.
  • Manage and mentor junior staff (senior level only).

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor (consultancy or contracting).
  • Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of procurement and cost management.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
  • MRICS status (Desirable).
  • Transmission or utilities sector experience (Desirable).
  • Familiarity with a range of contract forms including FIDIC and NEC3/NEC4.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • MS Office proficiency.
  • Full UK Driving Licence – mandatory (occasional travel to sites).
