Overview
The Strategic Projects team at SP Energy Networks is undertaking a programme of reinforcement works exceeding £5.4billion over the next 5 to 10 years.
As BIM Project Manager, you will lead the introduction and application of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and common data model technologies across the design and construction of transmission infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Drive implementation of BIM processes and standards (including ISO 19650) throughout project life cycles.
- Develop and execute internal BIM procedures, coordinating with suppliers and industry partners to enhance technology adoption.
- Streamline data utilisation, ensuring all stakeholders use consistent models and reduce risk of re‑work.
- Manage the Common Data Environment, support Project Managers in BIM use, and lead clash‑resolution meetings to maintain a single source of information.
- Coordinate information exchanges with clients and subcontractors, owning the Master/Task Team information delivery plan.
Qualifications
- Experience in project delivery and change management across diverse teams and services.
- Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal, organisational and time‑management skills.
- Detail‑oriented with analytical capabilities; proficient in a Common Data Environment (preferably Autodesk Construction Cloud) and Revit for 3D modelling and metadata integration.
- Knowledge of BS EN ISO 19650 and its supporting appendices, with experience in stakeholder communication and change management.
- Adaptability to manage multiple tasks independently or within a multi‑disciplinary team.
