Who we are:
The Primary Care division of Vital Healthcare has revenues of c.£150m in the German, Swiss and British markets enabled through its own commercial teams. High quality medical and diagnostic products are supplied for use in primary care, laboratory, and blue light settings. The division employs approximately 425 people in 3 countries.
Primary Care UK consists of Williams Medical (with revenues of c.£60M) and SP Services (with revenues of c.£10M), both specialise in providing a wide range of medical, healthcare products and equipment to healthcare professionals and organisations. Primary Care UK employs approximately 200 people across two purpose-built facilities, one in Telford, West Midlands England and one in Rhymney, South Wales.
Role Purpose:
We are seeking a high energy Business Development Executive to support our SP Services business ambitious growth plans. Based at our site in Telford, the aim of this role is to win, formalise and grow our current customers' spend and deliver similar new opportunities to generate profitable sales against realistic targets. The role will encompass all aspects of new business development, customer retention, business development planning and research. This is an office-based role covering the South of the UK.
Principal Accountability:
- To develop and implement plans in line with Company Strategic objectives for the South of the UK
- To grow sales of the Company's products in the South of the UK
- To develop new business, to achieve targets and goals set as per your individual objectives
- To maintain and develop customer relationship management and opportunity pipeline information
- To identify relevant new business opportunities in existing markets via cold calling, lead generation and referrals
- Identify potential new customers and make contact in order that a sales proposition can be made
- Respond and follow up on all sales enquiries received from the Customer Support and Marketing Team
- Collate and share customer feedback and market intelligence to inform a customer strategic approach
- To attend or host relevant promotional events providing report information
Person Specification:
- Confident outbound sales executive, used to working toward achieving target levels
- Experience of the UK's pre-hospital, emergency and first aid related products would be advantageous but not essential
- Must possess experience in generating new business and be capable of a consultative approach working with customers to sustain ongoing active relationships
- Proven experience of delivering against objectives and providing outstanding customer service and care
- Must possess an outstanding track record of sales success with evidence of that success
- Experience of B2B sales together with an understanding of the basics of sales, negotiation, customer relationship management and telephone sales
- Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills
- Must possess a full and clean driving license
- Proactive and able to operate within a fast-paced environment encompassing a can-do attitude
- Able to work in cross-functional teams
- Highly motivated, driven and enthusiastic
- Must possess a high level of integrity, commitment and flexibility
- IT literate with excellent organisational skills
- Excellent networking, prospecting and research skills
