The Role

Reporting directly to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing key customer relationships and growing sales within the utility and infrastructure sectors. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional who enjoys building relationships, winning projects and contributing to the growth of a dynamic business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the sales cycle from quoting, processing the order and raising any additional purchase orders.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across water, wastewater and infrastructure markets.
  • Build strong relationships with contractors, merchants, utilities, consultants and asset owners.
  • Manage and develop an existing customer portfolio whilst actively prospecting for new opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting.
  • Work closely with the sales teams to ensure excellent customer service and project delivery.
  • Monitor market activity, competitor movements and emerging opportunities.

About You

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven sales experience within a B2B technical or construction-related environment.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Demonstrable track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience within the utilities, water, wastewater or infrastructure sectors.
  • Knowledge of pressure pipeline systems and products.
  • Understanding of ductile iron pipes, fittings, valves or associated pipeline solutions.
  • Existing network of contacts within UK utility contractors, merchants or water companies.
