Overview

Help us create a better future by providing design solutions within the Secondary Reinforcement House for Network Reinforcement projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide designs for HV/LV reinforcement.
  • Carry out necessary analyses at HV/LV level.
  • Coordinate programme trackers on a day‑to‑day basis.
  • Progress designs to obtain necessary financial approval.
  • Carry out tasks in accordance with Energy Networks safety rules, maintaining required safety, quality and environmental management standards.
  • Work towards a zero‑accident culture and lead by example.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Comply with site and workplace audits.
  • Attend fortnightly team meetings.
  • Ensure all appropriate safety documentation is complied with, achieving a zero accident rate.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Energy Networks policies, procedures and working practices.
  • Working knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation.
  • Aware of network development policies and procedures.
  • Developed customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of SPEN HV/LV network and network management systems.
  • Contract management skills and general commercial & regulatory awareness.
  • Negotiation, communication and people‑management skills.
  • Ability to devise solutions to complex problems or challenges.
  • Working knowledge of IPSA, NAVI, UMV and LV network analysis.
  • Working knowledge of Energy Networks IT systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Effective and confident written and verbal communication skills.

Minimum Criteria

  • Either a crafts qualification, apprenticeship or S/NVQ.
  • Previous experience of SPEN HV/LV network.
  • Computer literacy (e.g. Microsoft Office suite).
  • Knowledge of company health & safety requirements and compliance.
  • Knowledge of Energy Networks policies, procedures and working practices.
