Team Member (Craftsperson technical support)
Location: Queensferry, North Wales (office) and travel to sites
Salary: £34,040 – £42,550 + benefits package & career progression opportunities

Responsibilities
- Ensure company adherence to policy and procedures for testing HV Fuse rods, Gloves & Sleeves, and Live Line Trucks in the SPM Licence programme.
- Inspect, test and repair safety‑critical equipment for the electrical network, including registration of equipment and management of test records for Live Line tools across all depot locations.
- Deliver safe provision of activities such as Fuse Rod testing, Potential Indicator testing, inspection of live line equipment, electrical test & inspection of Live Line hands‑on work.
- Maintain electronic records, conduct generator lead / pod repairs and assist in inspections across all depots (with overnight stays).
- Deliver business plan outputs in line with financial, regulatory and business objectives while optimising return through incentive mechanisms.
- Support continual performance improvement through analysis of outputs and feedback from internal and external sources.
- Demonstrate and promote exemplary safety behaviours, ensuring all safety legislation is implemented across activities.
- Capture and address non‑conformances from Operational Safety and Compliance Audits, Quality Audits, etc.
- Deliver excellent customer service standards to all aspects of your operation.
- Take responsibility and accountability for tasks, contributing to team goals by providing support, advice, encouragement, clear direction and coaching as appropriate.
Qualifications
- City & Guilds II, or equivalent electrical qualification.
- Craft Apprenticeship or equivalent training.
- Full valid driving licence.
- Technical and operational experience in a relevant engineering role.
- Sound knowledge of Energy Networks policies, procedures and working practices.
- Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation.
- Awareness of network development policies and procedures.
- Working knowledge of network and business data and network management systems.
- Contract & Service Level Agreement (SLA) management and general commercial & regulatory awareness.
- Ability to devise solutions to complex problems or challenges.
- Strong communication skills with customers and colleagues.
- Proficiency in using electrical test equipment.
