About the Role:
The Team: As a Visible Alpha Sales Specialist for Investment Banking, you will collaborate closely with D&R Sales and Account Managers across the Market Intelligence organization to drive Visible Alpha adoption within accounts. Our team thrives on cross-functional partnership, and you will be expected to build strong relationships with peers outside of your immediate team and function to deliver exceptional value to our Investment Banking clients.
The Impact: You will have overall responsibility for growing adoption of Visible Alpha and driving New Business Sales. In this Grade 11 role, you will play a significant part in initiatives to improve efficiencies within your business area. You will be called upon to advise on complex issues for larger clients and accounts, meeting less clearly defined demands by weaving in new approaches informed by your analytical perspective and previous experiences. Furthermore, you will influence and advise junior colleagues in operational processes, and lead others in how to live the S&P Global purpose and values, connecting them to day-to-day work.

Responsibilities:
- Drive adoption and sell Visible Alpha via desktop, bulk delivery or API via data distribution channels to Investment Banks
- Collaborate effectively with peers and immediate leadership to build a territory plan and maintain an organized process to engage prospects
- Stay current on industry news to develop marketing and campaign initiatives
- Understand client workflows and align our products to their needs
- Integrate and communicate complex information regarding our data and technology solutions to C-level executives and key decision-makers
- Negotiate contract terms and pricing structures
- Identify cross-divisional synergies and contribute to product innovation
- Work with incomplete or conflicting data to identify options in non-routine situations, ensuring our products align perfectly with client workflows
- Maintain resilience and emotional intelligence, bouncing back from setbacks and remaining positive and focused, even in the face of challenges during the sales cycle
- Deliver top-notch customer service and work effectively as a team player
- Engage with other business units to enhance client experience through team selling
- Maintain a focused approach to daily sales activity pipelines and systems-based workflows
All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
What We're Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
- An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 5+ years of experience in selling complex data and/or technology solutions to financial institutions
- Independent, self-starter capable of working without close supervision or daily guidance, with clearly defined work that considers the priorities of others
- Strong business acumen with relevant industry experience and a consistent record in consultative sales
- Confidence in approaching new markets, navigating, and owning a territory and dealing with C-Level executives
We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ Years of experience as an Individual Contributor with Financial Services Industry roles Preferred
- Team player with an ability to collaborate across functional and geographic boundaries
- Strong communication, organization, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to provide professional know-how to enhance the knowledge and skill base of the broader organization
