You’ll be joining our newly established M&A Integration team within Corporate Platforms’ Business Management organization, where we are building specialized capabilities to support enterprise‑wide transaction activity, including mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. Working as part of the broader Business Management team that drives strategic planning and operational excellence across Corporate Platforms, this role operates with a strong enterprise perspective and a mandate to scale execution through AI‑enabled and automated ways of working. Given the nature of M&A activity, this role will require periodic international travel to work with regional teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities and Impact
- Set the strategic direction and operating framework for integration and separation activities across Corporate Platforms, ensuring acquired and divested entities transition into and out of S&P Global’s technology ecosystem in a controlled, well‑governed manner.
- Define scalable integration and divestiture approaches aligned to corporate strategy, leveraging AI‑assisted planning, dependency analysis, and scenario modelling to inform decisions, reduce execution risk, and improve time‑to‑value.
- Provide architectural and operational guidance to IT, Legal, Finance, and divisional teams on technology migrations, data separation, and system integration considerations, ensuring clear ownership, sequencing, and exit criteria.
- Establish AI‑enabled and automated governance mechanisms for M&A activity, including standards, templates, decision frameworks, and reporting structures, to enable repeatable and auditable execution by delivery teams.
- Set the strategic framework and consolidated view for M&A activities across Corporate Platforms technologies, including TSA design principles and exit criteria.
- Establish and continuously improve integration and separation governance frameworks, incorporating automation‑enabled controls, standard templates, and reusable patterns aligned with enterprise AI, risk, and compliance standards.
- Own the strategic narrative, consolidated view, and executive‑level reporting for M&A activity, using AI‑assisted insights and automated dashboards to provide senior leadership with clear visibility into progress, risks, dependencies, and value realization, based on inputs from accountable delivery teams.
Basic Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in project management, business operations, or M&A integration activities, including responsibility for scaling processes and ways of working.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability, with experience using data, automation, or AI‑enabled approaches to inform decision‑making, assess options, and improve outcomes across multi‑stakeholder initiatives.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities across all organizational levels, including the ability to translate complex, data‑driven insights into executive‑ready narratives.
- Experience with delivery methodologies such as SAFe Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches, and with modern tooling that supports automation, transparency, and governance.
- Familiarity with modern tooling that supports transparency, governance, and automation (e.g. planning, reporting, and workflow tools), with an openness to evolving AI‑assisted ways of working.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in M&A integration, divestitures, carve‑outs, corporate development, or enterprise transformation initiatives.
- Experience supporting divestitures or separation programs, including TSA management or exit planning.
- Knowledge of enterprise technology platforms, data migration processes, and system integration architectures.
- Demonstrated experience identifying and implementing automation or AI‑enabled improvements within operational, program management, or transformation functions.
- Experience working in financial services or data and analytics organizations with strong governance and risk requirements.
