About the Role:

With Intelligence, now part of S&P Global, are recruiting a Head of Audience Engagement to join our London based team. At With Intelligence, we connect the world's leading institutional investors with the investment managers shaping tomorrow's alternatives landscape. Our LP:GP portfolio has become one of the industry's leading event series, bringing together pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, foundations, insurers, family offices and other institutional allocators with the world's leading private equity, private credit, infrastructure, real assets and hedge fund managers.

As our portfolio continues to grow across the US, we're looking for an experienced relationship-builder to establish and lead a brand-new audience engagement function. This is a unique opportunity to create a strategic role from the ground up, taking ownership of our most valuable audience: institutional allocators.

As Head of Audience Engagement, you will lead the strategy for attracting, engaging and retaining allocator delegates across our global LP events portfolio. Working closely with our Content, Investor Relations, Marketing and Commercial teams, you'll develop long-term relationships with senior investment decision-makers, ensuring our events continue to reflect the priorities, challenges and opportunities facing institutional investors. You'll become the voice of our allocator community internally, using market intelligence and delegate feedback to shape future event strategy while delivering an exceptional audience experience throughout the year; not just during event registration periods. This is a highly visible leadership role with significant influence over audience growth, portfolio development and commercial success.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

  • Developing and executing a long-term audience engagement strategy across the LP portfolio.
  • Building trusted relationships with institutional allocators including public and corporate pension funds, endowments, foundations, insurance investors, sovereign wealth funds, family offices and consultants.
  • Driving delegate recruitment, retention and repeat attendance across a growing portfolio of events.
  • Acting as the primary advocate for the allocator audience across the business.
  • Establishing regular engagement programmes to better understand delegate priorities, investment interests and future needs.
  • Gathering and analysing audience insights to inform event agendas, locations, formats and networking experiences.
  • Supporting the validation and launch of new events through direct market research and relationship development.
  • Working closely with the Investor Relations team to ensure speaker and delegate strategies complement one another.
  • Supporting sponsor requests by identifying and engaging relevant allocator audiences.
  • Monitoring delegate engagement, satisfaction and retention, using data and feedback to drive continual improvement.
  • Helping ensure attendance targets are achieved across the portfolio while maintaining the high quality of our audience.

Leadership Responsibilities:

This role will also lead our wider Delegate Engagement function. The Delegate Engagement Team Leader, responsible for attendee recruitment and engagement across the LP:GP, Operations and Women's portfolios, will report directly into this position. You'll provide leadership, coaching and strategic direction, creating a consistent approach to delegate acquisition, engagement and relationship management across the wider events business.

About You:

We're looking for someone who enjoys building long-term professional relationships and understands how meaningful engagement drives commercial success. You may come from an events, conferences, membership, investor relations, client relationship, business development or institutional investment background.

You’ll likely bring:

  • Experience managing senior stakeholder relationships within financial services or B2B events.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • A highly relationship-led approach with the confidence to engage senior investment professionals.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of how audience engagement contributes to business growth.
  • Experience using customer insights and data to shape strategy and improve engagement.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • A collaborative mindset with experience working across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Previous people management experience, or the desire to lead and develop a growing team.

Experience and interest in alternative investments, including private equity, private credit, infrastructure, real assets or hedge funds, would be advantageous, although not essential.

Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity to build something new. Rather than inheriting an established function, you'll shape how With Intelligence engages one of the world's most influential institutional investment communities.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Create and own a strategic audience engagement function.
  • Build lasting relationships with some of the world's largest institutional investors.
  • Influence the direction of market-leading conferences and thought leadership programmes.
  • Help shape new event launches and portfolio growth.
  • Lead and develop a growing engagement team.
  • Work as part of With Intelligence and S&P Global Market Intelligence, combining trusted market intelligence, proprietary data and industry-leading events.
