The Director, Program Management will lead EDO-wide, high-visibility strategic programs sponsored by EDO executive leadership. This role is accountable for translating strategic needs into transformation initiatives that deliver measurable financial, operational, and stakeholder impact across EDO and the S&P Global organization. Operating within a complex financial and data services environment, the Director will partner with the business, data, technology, people, and finance leaders and peers to design and execute transformation across operating model, processes, and automation capabilities. This leader will combine strategic insight, operational rigor, analytical acumen, and executive stakeholder management to drive value creation. The successful candidate will be a strategic, enterprise-minded leader who thrives in complexity, ambiguity, and change. They will bring credibility with senior leadership, drive disciplined execution, and consistently deliver sustainable impact in high-visibility environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Shape and lead strategic transformation programs aligned to EDO priorities and strategic objectives.
- Manage and deliver multi-workstream initiatives spanning data, technology, operations, finance, and people.
- Drive measurable outcomes including growth acceleration, cost optimization, productivity improvement, and organizational change.
- Establish governance structures, steering committees, and executive reporting frameworks.
- Ensure disciplined program management across scope, budget, resources, interdependencies, and risk mitigation.
- Proactively identify and resolve barriers to execution in a highly matrixed organization.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive sponsors and senior leaders.
- Develop operating committee ready materials and executive communications that provide clarity, insights, and decision support.
- Influence across functions without direct authority, aligning diverse stakeholder groups toward common outcomes.
- Partner with functional leaders to embed new operating models, governance processes, and performance metrics.
- Build transformation capability within the organization through playbooks, standards, and best practices.
- Lead and mentor juniors and cross-functional teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and performance excellence.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in enterprise transformation, strategy, product management, or management consulting.
- Demonstrated success leading high-visibility, cross-functional transformation initiatives within Fortune 500 or similarly complex organizations.
- Experience operating at and influencing the C-suite level.
- Proven track record of delivering measurable financial and operational impact through strategic initiatives.
- Strong financial acumen, comfort navigating financial analysis and value realization.
Education
- Bachelor's degree required (Business, Finance, Economics, or related field).
- MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
