About the Role:

The Team: We seek a product manager to lead the transition risk & opportunities product suite in the Sustainable1 product team in the S&P Global Energy organization, which focuses on delivering sustainability research, data, and analytics. The role will involve interaction with SPGI divisional sustainability teams and clients/professionals within the sustainability space.

The Impact: As the Transition Risk product manager, you will be responsible for working with the product, research and development teams to build out new transition risk & opportunities solutions and enhance existing transition risk products.

What's in it for you: You will be part of a highly visible team with a direct impact on the execution of our product roadmap and vision, helping to deliver trendsetting products focused on transition risk & opportunities. You will interact with internal partners to identify opportunities and respond with meaningful enhancements.

Responsibilities:

  • Defining and executing on the roadmap from concept through launch for your areas
  • Providing guidance and requirements to product owners on one or more agile scrum teams
  • Managing the product backlog
  • Understanding 'big picture' product and commercial strategy and collaborating with stakeholder groups and teams to ensure product quality and consistency
  • Being an advocate for the customer by overseeing quality of product delivery and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Owning small-mid size projects including project definition and management
  • Working closely with technology teams and stakeholders to define product requirements, prioritize delivery goals and ensure quality of delivery
  • Liaising between the development team and stakeholders, end users, business, customer to define requirements, resolve impediments and communicate progress
  • Contributing to go to market activities and development and maintenance of client facing documentation
  • Collaborating with product management colleagues on release planning activities
  • Becoming the subject matter expert on Transition Risk & Opportunities data and workflows

What we are looking for:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in business or related fields
  • 5+ years of work experience
  • Experience with Agile or SAFe Agile development framework and processes
  • Ability to clearly articulate product requirements and their business value to technology stakeholders and development teams
  • Strong analytical skills and enthusiasm for digging into the details to define product use cases, capabilities, and impacts
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Experience with the technical aspects of digital product delivery and ability to identify development dependencies, risks and opportunities
  • Enthusiastic team leader who can motivate, support and encourage team members
  • Ability to understand technical product challenges and contribute to defining and communicating solutions
  • A professional, highly dedicated, detail-oriented, and energetic personality, with the ability to work and thrive in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
