Team: The Environmental Markets pricing and market reporting team is a global, highly collaborative team made of curious and proactive reporters.
We value collaboration, curiosity, desire to investigate and understand market trends in depth, a sense of urgency, and the ability to capture changes in market dynamics quickly and ahead of competitors.
Responsibilities and Impact
- Publish daily price assessments according to methodology.
- Write market commentaries and rationales, provide daily coverage of market trends, record podcasts and other digital content describing key fundamental market drivers moving prices.
- Build strong source books and collect regular market intelligence.
- Drive the development of new and existing assessments in line with market changes.
- Drive customer meetings to learn about important issues facing market participants and translate to new products or adjustments to Platts offerings.
- Work in partnership with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to Platts Editorial Standards.
- Serve as an internal and external ambassador for Platts Energy Transition offerings and ambitions.

- Required Qualifications
- Curious about energy and carbon markets, able to work within deadlines, handle multiple tasks, proactive, and sense of urgency.
- Responsible and accountable, work to create a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Adroit at market engagement and comfortable representing Platts Carbon externally.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree in journalism, finance, economics, environmental or related sciences.
- Working understanding of the Energy Transition.
- Price assessment or financial market coverage experience.
- Industry experience such as market reporting, news reporting, or analytical background.
- Working understanding of commodity markets.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Team player.
