About the Role:

The Team: S&P Global Energy's Commercial team is at the forefront of expanding and deepening client relationships in the climate and sustainability space. We operate with a strategic vision to drive revenue growth while helping clients enhance their climate and sustainability initiatives.

The Impact: We are looking for an Associate Commercial Specialist to help grow the business in Continental Europe.

Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Owns a new business sales target for an assigned territory
  • Help the Continental European team identify new logos
  • Design and execute new Go-to-market strategies in the region
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities

What We're Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 2+ years of relevant experience in ESG and sustainability solutions, customer support, sales or relationship management in B2B environments.
  • Proven track record of either achieving revenue targets or managing complex client relationships and/or projects
  • Strong understanding of sustainability frameworks and ESG principles (e.g., EBA requirements, CSRD, SFDR, CSDDD, ISSB) and ability to translate technical concepts into clear business value propositions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience leading client meetings, demos, and strategic planning sessions
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM systems and prospecting databases (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, ZoomInfo, Salesloft, or similar), including maintaining detailed client records and pipeline management; familiarity with AI agents preferred
  • Willingness to travel within Europe for client visits and represent the company at industry events

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of client workflows in any of the following industries: non-financial corporates, financial institutions, professional services.
  • Fluency in English. Any other European languages preferred.
