The Team
The Solutions Architect organization is responsible for pre‑ and post‑sales client engagement and serves as the primary technical and business contact for users of S&P Global Market Intelligence's Channels Data Delivery Solutions, including Xpressfeed, APIs, and Cloud Services.
The team partners closely with Sales, Product, Client Support, and Engineering teams to help clients successfully deploy, integrate, and maximize value from our data solutions.
By combining financial data expertise, technical solution design, and client‑facing advisory skills, the team plays a critical role in supporting client success, retention, and growth.

Responsibilities
- Act as a product specialist for S&P Global Market Intelligence's data delivery solutions, helping clients understand available datasets, content structures, delivery mechanisms, and integration options.
- Partner with Sales to support prospective and existing client engagements.
- Design, demonstrate, and recommend data delivery and integration solutions that align with client business objectives, technical environments, and workflow requirements.
- Deploy and support data feed solutions within client environments, ensuring applications are configured appropriately and working collaboratively with internal and client technical teams to resolve issues.
- Train clients on the effective use of S&P Global Market Intelligence content, platforms, APIs, and data delivery solutions, ensuring they achieve maximum value from their subscription.
- Expand adoption of data delivery solutions within existing client organizations by identifying new use cases, additional departments, and opportunities to increase product utilization.
- Gather market intelligence and client feedback to contribute to revenue retention, client success, and growth initiatives.
- Provide product feedback and participate in the enhancement and development of new solutions, leveraging client insights and market knowledge to improve product value and usability.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and evolving client requirements to maintain expertise in the financial data and analytics marketplace.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and primary contact for assigned clients, maintaining a thorough understanding of their business objectives, data requirements, technical architecture, and future initiatives.
- Apply a proactive, end‑to‑end problem‑solving approach to client challenges, identifying opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance client outcomes.
- Work closely with Sales teams to qualify opportunities, understand client requirements, and position appropriate S&P Global Market Intelligence solutions.
- Collaborate effectively across Sales, Product Management, Client Support, Engineering, and Operations teams to deliver positive business outcomes for clients.
- Communicate complex technical and data concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences, adapting messaging as appropriate.
- Take ownership of assigned engagements, consistently delivering high‑quality work, meeting commitments, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the team.
- Act as a mentor and resource for colleagues by sharing knowledge, best practices, and established processes where appropriate.
- All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect, Solutions Consultant, Product Specialist, Sales Engineer, Technical Consultant, or similar client‑facing role supporting financial data, analytics, Saa S, cloud, or enterprise software solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
Equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
- Experience with financial data platforms and datasets such as Compustat, Capital IQ, SNL, IHS Markit, Trucost, Clari FI, or comparable industry‑leading data and analytics solutions.
- Proficiency with SQL and experience using Python, R, APIs, cloud‑based data services, or similar technologies to access, analyze, and deliver data solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct effective client training sessions, product demonstrations, technical workshops, and presentations.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify client needs and recommend effective solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams, build trusted client relationships, and contribute positively to team objectives.
- Ability and willingness to travel.

- CFA designation or progress toward completion.
- Experience supporting cloud‑based data delivery platforms, APIs, enterprise data integration projects, or large‑scale financial data implementations.
