About the Role
With Intelligence, part of S&P Global, is recruiting a Head of Audience Engagement for our London based team.
We connect the world's leading institutional investors with the investment managers shaping tomorrow's alternatives landscape.
The LP: GP portfolio has become one of the industry's leading event series, bringing together pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, foundations, insurers, family offices and other institutional allocators with the world's leading private equity, private credit, infrastructure, real assets and hedge fund managers.
As our portfolio continues to grow across the US, we are looking for an experienced relationship-builder to establish and lead a brand-new audience engagement function.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a long-term audience engagement strategy across the LP portfolio.
- Build trusted relationships with institutional allocators including public and corporate pension funds, endowments, foundations, insurance investors, sovereign wealth funds, family offices and consultants.
- Drive delegate recruitment, retention and repeat attendance across a growing portfolio of events.
- Act as the primary advocate for the allocator audience across the business.
- Establish regular engagement programmes to better understand delegate priorities, investment interests and future needs.
- Gather and analyse audience insights to inform event agendas, locations, formats and networking experiences.
- Support the validation and launch of new events through direct market research and relationship development.
- Work closely with the Investor Relations team to ensure speaker and delegate strategies complement one another.
- Support sponsor requests by identifying and engaging relevant allocator audiences.
- Monitor delegate engagement, satisfaction and retention, using data and feedback to drive continual improvement.
- Help ensure attendance targets are achieved across the portfolio while maintaining the high quality of our audience.
- Leadership Responsibilities
- Lead our wider Delegate Engagement function.
The Delegate Engagement Team Leader, responsible for attendee recruitment and engagement across the LP: GP, Operations and Women's portfolios, will report directly into this position.
- Provide leadership, coaching and strategic direction, creating a consistent approach to delegate acquisition, engagement and relationship management across the wider events business.
About You
- Experience managing senior stakeholder relationships within financial services or B2B events.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- A highly relationship-led approach with the confidence to engage senior investment professionals.
- Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of how audience engagement contributes to business growth.
- Experience using customer insights and data to shape strategy and improve engagement.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- A collaborative mindset with experience working across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Previous people management experience, or the desire to lead and develop a growing team.
- Experience and interest in alternative investments, including private equity, private credit, infrastructure, real assets or hedge funds, would be advantageous, although not essential.
