About the Role:
With Intelligence is looking for a high-performing sponsorship sales professional to play a pivotal role in driving new business revenue and the successful growth of new event launches within our growing Summits portfolio. This is an online revenue-generating role with a strong emphasis on opening new accounts, building pipeline, and taking new products to market. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, securing, and growing relationships with new sponsors, while also contributing to the go-to-market strategy and commercial success of newly launched events. This is a high-impact, fast-paced, client-facing role requiring a strong understanding of the asset management industry, particularly GP and service provider audiences. Experience in event sales to asset managers seeking capital from insurance allocators would be a big advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive new business revenue by proactively identifying, targeting, and converting new sponsor clients across the asset management ecosystem.
- Own the commercial success of new event launches, including building early-stage pipelines, securing founding sponsors, and shaping compelling sponsorship propositions.
- Exceed individual revenue targets across sponsorship sales, with a clear weighting toward new logo acquisition and launch event performance.
- Develop and execute a structured new business strategy, including target account planning, outreach, and conversion tactics.
- Build a robust and sustainable pipeline through self-sourced leads, market insight, and proactive prospecting.
- Partner with the Commercial Director to define go-to-market strategies for new launches, including pricing, packaging, and positioning.
- Gather and apply client and market insight to inform the development of new events and commercial opportunities.
- Grow and retain selected existing accounts, increasing spend and engagement where strategically relevant.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, client needs, and industry trends to strengthen sales positioning.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, production, and leadership teams to ensure successful delivery and commercial performance of events.
Requirements:
- Proven track record as a top-performing sponsorship sales professional, with a strong focus on new business acquisition.
- Demonstrable experience selling sponsorship for new event launches or early-stage products.
- Strong network and understanding of the asset management industry, including GP / LP / service provider dynamics.
- Highly proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build pipeline from scratch.
- Confident in cold outreach, prospecting, and converting senior-level stakeholders.
- Commercially strategic with the ability to contribute to product development and go-to-market planning.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- High energy, resilience, and a strong sense of urgency in a target-driven environment.
- Collaborative and solution-oriented, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Curious, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Success in this role looks like:
- Strong new logo acquisition and consistent pipeline generation.
- Successful commercial launch of new events, with early sponsor commitment secured.
- Revenue targets exceeded, with a clear contribution from new business and new products.
- Positive impact on the growth and scalability of the Summits portfolio.
