S&P Global Energy Commercial and CX Graduate Program

Role: Associate, Commercial and CX

Location: London

The S&P Global Energy Commercial and CX Graduate Program journey begins with an intensive 5-week onboarding in our London office.

Following onboarding, you will spend three months with the EMEA Customer Success Team, building foundational knowledge of commodity markets, developing essential business skills, and learning about S&P Global Energy data, research and analytical products. As a Customer Success Associate you will be the primary contact for clients, addressing their requests in a timely, professional manner and providing training on S&P Global Energy products through virtual and onsite visits.

The program will consist of rotations across customer success, sales, channel management, and marketing functions, giving you a holistic perspective of the business. You will complete certification milestones and an evaluation process that tests and stretches your skills and capabilities. As you progress, you will support the sales team and ultimately contribute to additional revenue for the company.

We are looking for high achievers from a diverse pool of current undergraduates or recent graduates who are passionate about the energy and commodities markets and want to develop their career in a dynamic, high‑performing, multicultural Commercial and CX team. Candidates should demonstrate intellectual curiosity, creativity, learning agility, problem‑solving skills, and effective networking and collaboration abilities. Proficiency in Generative AI technologies and the ability to leverage these tools for innovative solutions will be highly valued.

What’s in it for you:

You will join as a member of a cohort of Commercial and CX Associates. You will be introduced to world‑class experts in various commodities, attend presentations on how commodity markets work, and gain insights into global economic and industry issues. You’ll enroll in an e‑learning curriculum covering commodity fundamentals and market mechanics. Within weeks, you will present topics to senior management and receive constructive feedback. Throughout the program you will learn to use S&P Global Energy products, Excel add‑ins, and CRM systems.

You will be challenged daily, work with a broad range of clients—including governments, investment banks, commodity trading houses, major oil and gas companies, hedge funds and industry—and be part of a large, energetic, international team with fantastic growth opportunities.

Career paths after the 18‑month initial phase of the program include:

  • Regional Sales
  • Specialist Sales

Responsibilities:

  • Strong presentation and communication skills, good telephone manners, and comfort presenting to large groups both in person and remotely.
