The Security Operator is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of employees, contractors, visitors and company assets across the client estate. The role combines front‑line security operations with security systems monitoring, incident management and control room support. You will work an average of 48 hours per week on a 4‑day, 4‑off rotation.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor CCTV, alarms and access control systems.
  • Conduct security patrols and inspections of the premises.
  • Control access and egress for staff, visitors and contractors.
  • Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies and security breaches.
  • Escalate incidents in line with established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate incident and occurrence reports.
  • Support the Security Support Centre with monitoring duties where required.
  • Liaise with landlord security teams and emergency services when necessary.
  • Receive, log and secure lost property.
  • Ensure all security procedures and assignment instructions are followed at all times.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to all employees and visitors.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
  • Assist supervisors and management with operational tasks when requested.
  • Perform ad‑hoc duties as directed.

Qualifications

  • A valid SIA Front‑Line Licence – essential.
  • Experience using CCTV, access control or alarm monitoring systems.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel).
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, multitask and work under pressure.
  • Ability to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards.
