The team at S&P Global Market Intelligence (SPGMI) is looking for a Redistribution Lead within the Redistribution and Partnerships team to support the RatingsXpress product management team. RatingsXpress is the flagship data distribution product for S&P Global Ratings’ credit ratings and other content, and part of the Credit Solutions product suite that includes ratings research, historical ratings, issuer default and bond recovery data.
As a Redistribution Lead you will help the team optimize our market strategy for the redistribution of ratings content via third parties in EMEA and APAC, focusing on customer segments such as Data Vendors/Information Providers, Investment Management, Investment Banking, Insurance, Commercial Banking and Non‑Financial Corporates. Your role will support pricing and contractual terms for external redistribution via third‑party feeds and platforms, contribute to business and commercial strategy development, and drive growth for the RVS business.
Responsibilities
- Structure deals, negotiate terms and finalize agreements.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records on deals and quotes for comparative purposes.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date summaries of all vendor/partner relationships, including related contracts and terms.
- Establish strong relationships with Commercial Teams and Product Managers to diagnose, distill, and deliver redistribution solutions to the market.
- Collaborate internally to design and deliver best‑practice training on redistribution for ratings content.
- Assess and size market opportunities and competitive landscapes through market research.
- Support business planning activities, including pricing, budgeting, and new product ideas.
Qualifications
- 7‑10 years of relevant experience, including roles focused on financial information/market data vendor relationship management, sales, contract negotiations, and overall market data management.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics or related subject.
- Complex and creative commercial deal negotiation experience and aptitude for reviewing, revising, and authoring deal proposals.
- Solid knowledge of the financial information and market data industry, including various vendors and products available in the marketplace.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas effectively, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Deep analytical mindset, creative problem‑solving ability, and understanding of fixed‑income/investing/risk workflows.
