The Price Reporter (Associate Editor) for EMEA Freight Markets is responsible for day‑to‑day reporting on shipping and freight markets in the Western hemisphere. The role includes collection and publication of primary market information, assessment, market‑related news reporting, commentary writing, methodology development and engagement with market sources.
Accountabilities
- Assess freight markets: survey market participants, publish price updates, apply methodology, perform assessments without spreadsheets.
- Write high‑quality market commentaries to explain market dynamics and assessment methodology.
- Report news about markets, including supply/demand developments, government data, regulatory changes, trader movements, price trend analysis, and other relevant topics.
- Engage with industry: find and nurture new market sources, maintain relationships with existing sources, keep source lists updated.
Qualifications
- Reporting or analytical experience.
- Strong mathematical and writing skills.
- Strong time‑management and communication skills.
