About the Role
S&P Global Inc. is seeking a strategic and innovative AI+ Lead to join our Enterprise Finance and Strategy team. The AI+ Lead reports to the Head of Finance AI+ Strategy & Program Management and partners closely with Corporate Finance and divisional CFOs to implement AI solutions that are scalable, ethical and aligned to corporate objectives. The role will develop the Finance Strategy for AI+ and work with the Finance Technology Lead and key AI stakeholders to execute a long‑term strategy, including AI for Finance, automation and robotics.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning and Execution:
Develop and execute a comprehensive AI+ strategy for the Finance team, aligned with SPGI’s business objectives. Identify and prioritize AI opportunities, create a roadmap for AI+ initiatives, outline key milestones, resources, and timelines. Guide the implementation of AI technologies (automation, robotics, AI/ML, and GenAI) to integrate smoothly with existing workflows and systems.
- Collaboration and Partnership:
Partner closely with Finance Technology Lead, Corporate Finance, and divisional CFOs to ensure AI solutions meet business needs and stakeholders are ready for AI adoption. Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration to secure alignment and buy‑in for AI+ initiatives.
- Opportunity Discovery and Assessment:
Conduct readiness assessments with stakeholders and evaluate current AI capabilities (data, technology, talent, processes), identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Implementation Leadership:
Lead the design and deployment of AI+ projects within the Finance team. Coordinate with internal technology teams, Corporate Finance and external vendors. Articulate the potential of AI/ML, NLP, and GenAI tools, helping stakeholders understand benefits, limitations and prerequisites. Monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure successful delivery.
- Metrics and Reporting:
Establish KPIs to measure success and ROI of AI+ initiatives. Prepare and present reports to senior leadership on progress and outcomes, highlighting successes, challenges and optimization areas.
- Ethics & Governance:
Ensure AI initiatives follow responsible AI practices addressing bias, fairness and transparency. Lead the definition of AI governance mechanisms and collaborate with internal teams to review AI projects for compliance with ethical guidelines and regulatory standards.
- Thought Leadership:
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments related to AI, data privacy, and ethics. Represent the Finance team in internal and external forums, promote a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
Qualifications
- Experience: 8+ years in finance, digital transformation or a related field, with substantial experience in implementing AI, automation or robotics strategies.
- Proven experience leading AI/ML, NLP and Gen AI projects in a global, complex organizational environment.
- Strong background in technology, project management and leading cross‑functional teams.
- Experience working in a complex, global organization is preferred.
