SP Executive Search is seeking an experienced Area Manager to join a leading hospitality business operating a branded estate of self-employed public houses. This role suits a commercially sharp operator who understands how to balance brand standards with entrepreneurial agreements, while driving performance across high-volume, food-led pubs.

This is for a branded self-employed pub estate, supporting experienced operators within a structured concept framework.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the commercial performance of a branded patch across the North West, supporting self-employed publicans to deliver against brand, sales and profit targets
  • Drive high-volume, food-led performance through structured business reviews, menu execution and operational discipline
  • Coach and challenge publicans on labour control, GP management, food quality and guest experience
  • Ensure consistent delivery of brand standards across service, product, and compliance
  • Analyse P&L results, identify trends and implement clear action plans to improve performance
  • Support local marketing initiatives and national campaign execution to maximise footfall
  • Collaborate with central teams (food, marketing, property and regional leadership) to deliver estate strategy
What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven multi-site management experience within high-volume pubs, casual dining or branded restaurant environments
  • Strong background in food-led operations, ideally with fresh food experience
  • Experience operating within a branded concept where consistency and standards are critical
  • Commercially astute – confident interpreting P&Ls, managing margins and driving top-line growth
  • Able to influence and challenge self-employed operators while maintaining strong working relationships
  • Resilient, data-driven and hands-on, with a clear focus on operational excellence
