A key part of the UK’s journey to net zero carbon is the revolution of our electricity industry to enable clean, green economic growth. As the North West’s electricity network operator, it’s our responsibility to lead the way, help the region decarbonise and pave the way for the growth of renewable energy and a sustainable energy future for all.
As the Project Planner you will support project managers in the delivery of customer schemes, by providing expert planning advice and programme controls. The role ensures that new demand and generation connections are initiated, baselined, and delivered within agreed timescales, customer expectations, and internal governance. It provides Project Managers with the tools, insight, and guidance needed to make informed delivery decisions, while aligning programmes with supplier frameworks, contractual arrangements, and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate must, at the start of employment, have permission to work in the UK without sponsorship. This role could be based at either our Preston or Carlisle offices.

- Strong communication skills, able to translate complex programme data into clear advice for project managers and customers
- Ability to balance technical detail with customer-facing communication
- Knowledge of NEC contracts desirable, with potential for this to become a future requirement
What we're offering:
