SP Electricity North West manages and invests in the power network that supplies electricity to the 2.4m homes and businesses across the North West. Our 2,400 colleagues manage the 13,000km of overhead lines, 44,000km of underground cables and thousands of electricity substations to keep power flowing and supporting green growth. A Fantastic Opportunity:

To liaise with the wider business and contractors to obtain as-laid field drawings within target timescales. To quality check those drawings for progression and to work with the business to address any initial quality issues. You will maintain our tracking system to reflect the true position of ongoing work and provide an audit trail. The role is crucial to providing accurate data quality across our key systems and will include the ability to analyse data and produce statistics as required to monitor receipt of as laid drawings.

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone with knowledge or experience in geographic mapping systems and/or electricity network diagrams, along with a solid understanding of electricity symbology standards and network connectivity within electricity distribution. Familiarity with our core company systems and the ability to use AutoCAD would be beneficial, though not essential. We welcome candidates who are proactive, results-focused, and able to work independently to meet deadlines. Strong communication skills are key, including the ability to interpret and prioritise a range of business needs and to engage effectively with colleagues at all levels - whether in person, by email, or by phone.
