As an ENWS Cable Jointer, you will play a key role in delivering all associated works within a customer-focused environment. You will be responsible for ensuring required outputs are achieved in line with all technical standards and safe working practices, consistently exceeding health and safety requirements while maximising productivity and quality of service delivery. The role demands a strong commitment to excellent customer service and full compliance with all appointment and regulatory obligations.
You will undertake cable jointing activities across all ENWS workstreams, organising and delivering daily work schedules with a business-driven mindset. This includes maintaining and supporting health and safety standards, completing Point of Work Risk Assessments before commencing tasks, and proactively engaging with customers and contractors to ensure smooth operations. You will also contribute to the future growth of the business by supporting the training and upskilling of colleagues under appropriate supervision, while delivering a professional, reliable and customer-centric service at all times.
The successful candidate must, at the start of employment, have permission to work in the UK without sponsorship.
What we’re looking for
- Have proven working experience as a LV Cable Jointer;
- Hold a City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification or a recognised Craft Apprenticeship and/or Vocational Training equivalent to NVQ level 3 in electrical engineering;
- City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent qualification held in inspection and testing;
- Hold a valid, full UK driving licence, ideally with categories B +E;
- Have experience in BS 6423 & BS 7671.
