A fantastic opportunity for an HV Project Manager. We're looking for an experienced and motivated HV Project Manager to join our Connections Major Projects Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering major electricity connection projects that support our commercial customers in the transition to a low-carbon future.

As an HV Project Manager, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of customer projects from planning through to completion, ensuring safe, efficient and customer-focused delivery. You'll work across a range of high-voltage connection schemes, including demand connections, distributed generation projects, network reinforcements and diversions.

This role would suit someone who has successfully managed a complex portfolio of projects and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You'll be agile, resilient and skilled at balancing competing priorities, building strong stakeholder relationships and managing demanding customers while maintaining a focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience.

What you’ll be doing

You'll manage a portfolio of HV customer connection projects, taking responsibility for successful delivery throughout the construction phase and wider project lifecycle. Working closely with internal teams, delivery partners and customers, you'll ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the delivery of HV connection projects up to and including 6.6kV/11kV.
  • Coordinating internal teams, contractors, suppliers and delivery partners to achieve project milestones.
  • Developing and maintaining project programmes, ensuring customers are kept informed throughout.
  • Liaising with Design, Support Services, Land Rights & Consents and Delivery Partners to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
  • Managing project risks, issues and change controls to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Monitoring project performance, costs and forecasts, maintaining accurate records and reporting.
  • Carrying out site visits, inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company policies and health and safety requirements.
  • Certifying contractor payments and approving project variations as required.
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiencies.
  • Holding regular progress meetings with stakeholders and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Supporting and promoting a positive health, safety and customer-focused culture across all projects.

The successful candidate must, at the start of employment have permission to work in the UK without sponsorship.
