SP Electricity North West manages and invests in the power network that supplies electricity to the 2.4m homes and businesses across the North West. Our 2,400 colleagues manage the 13,000km of overhead lines, 44,000km of underground cables and thousands of electricity substations to keep power flowing and supporting green growth. A Fantastic Opportunity: We are looking for a positive, collaborative leader to join our Connections Senior Leadership Team. In this role, you will take full responsibility for all customerâdriven quotations, including new connections, alterations, diversions and disconnections, across every voltage level. You will also play an important part in supporting the growth ambitions and longâterm strategy of SP ENW. People are at the heart of this role. You will champion the health, safety and wellbeing of your team, with genuine care for their mental wellbeing. You will create and maintain a people plan that supports development, encourages progression and builds a strong pipeline of talent. As a mentor and leader, you will guide, support and inspire your team to achieve their best. You will also take full P&L responsibility for your area, ensuring that every customer experiences a smooth, supportive and professional journey from application through to acceptance.
What weâre looking for:
- Collaborative, peopleâcentred leader with experience guiding customerâfacing, multifunctional or commercial pricing teams
- Experience in a regulated environment (such as electricity or gas) is helpful but not required
- Ability to take full ownership of the quotations customer journey for all connectionârelated work
- Skilled at leading improvements in customer satisfaction and shaping strategies that support the organisationâs growth ambitions
- Commitment to ensuring regulatory compliance and highâquality decisionâmaking
- Confident working in partnership with DSO and Strategic Planning teams to achieve shared outcomes
- Able to contribute to the commercial performance of the Connections business through fair, efficient and competitive pricing
- Advocate for continuous improvement, innovation and positive change
- Promotes a culture that prioritises health, safety, wellbeing and psychological safety
- Supports accurate reporting and contributes to broader business initiatives
- Experienced in leading other leaders, including the Quotations leadership team, and active contributor to the Connections Senior Leadership Team
- Works collaboratively with Talent Acquisition to build a diverse, skilled and inclusive team
- Experience delivering services to diverse customer groups, supporting organisational change and driving meaningful improvements
- Skilled in coaching, developing and empowering large teams to help them thrive
- A degree in Engineering or Construction Management is desirable, but equivalent experience or alternative pathways are equally valued
