Founded in 1758 in Grasse in the South of France, Maison Sozio is one of the pioneers in fine French perfumery. The history of the Maison Sozio goes back to one of the very first families of perfumers in Grasse, having been at the origin of the community of glove-makers and perfumers. This acquisition enhances Sozio perfumers’ palette of premium ingredients – both synthetic and natural – and iconic specialties such as Ambrarome and Animalis.

Sozio UK is seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Director to lead and manage its sales team of 5 commercial executives. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring the strategic alignment of sales operations with the company’s overall goals.

  • Develop and implement the commercial strategy for Sozio UK, aligning with global business objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to deliver exceptional performance.
  • Set clear objectives, monitor progress, and ensure individual and team sales goals are met.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for major accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on sales performance and market developments.
  • Ensure seamless communication between the UK office and Sozio’s global teams.
  • Manage the sales budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize results.
  • Monitor pricing strategies and ensure profitability in all sales activities.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in sales management, preferably in the fragrance or FMCG industries.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and make strategic decisions.
  • Fluent in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
