The Role
This position sits at the heart of the reporting finance function, acting as a key business partner to operational and product-focused teams. You’ll combine strong financial control with commercial insight, helping the business understand performance drivers across stock, logistics, and product development. You’ll also play a key role in evolving reporting, improving processes, and supporting smarter decision-making as the company continues to scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Finance Business Partner to Operations, Merchandising, Logistics, and New Product Development teams
- Own the monthly management accounts process for stock and stock-related costs
- Oversee reporting on logistics expenditure including warehousing, shipping, duties, and fulfilment costs
- Develop and enhance reporting packs and analysis for non-finance stakeholders, identifying gaps and improving insight
- Line manage and support two Assistant Management Accountants
- Partner with the Data & Insights team to improve the accuracy, accessibility, and timeliness of financial information
- Maintain balance sheet integrity including reconciliations and strong financial controls
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal governance standards
- Review and improve accounting processes to support a scaling, high-volume business
Requirements
- Previous experience in e-commerce, retail, or a similar fast-moving environment
- Strong background in management accounting with commercial exposure
- Proven experience in a high-growth business environment
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insight
- Strong ERP systems exposure and advanced Excel capability
- Proactive, structured, and confident working with operational stakeholders
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence non-finance teams
