Sowena Group are partnered with a listed business based in South Manchester, who are seeking to appoint a Head of Reporting & Compliance to join its senior leadership team. This is a pivotal role within a growing organisation operating in a regulated, public market environment.

The successful candidate will take full ownership of external reporting, regulatory compliance, and the internal control framework, ensuring the business meets all statutory and listing obligations while supporting ongoing growth and governance development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all statutory and external financial reporting, including annual and interim reports
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and listing rules
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust internal controls framework
  • Manage the external audit process and key advisor relationships
  • Oversee technical accounting matters and regulatory developments
  • Support Board and Committee reporting with accurate, timely information
  • Drive continuous improvement across reporting processes and governance structures
  • Build and lead a high-performing reporting and compliance team
Candidate Profile
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Significant post-qualification experience within a listed or regulated environment
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and up-to-date regulatory awareness
  • Experience leading audit processes and managing external stakeholders
  • Commercially astute with the ability to operate effectively at senior leadership level
  • Organised, resilient, and capable of delivering in a fast-paced environment
