Sowena Group is delighted to be partnering exclusively with a global manufacturing business headquartered in Fylde coast to appoint a Management Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced and complex group with multiple trading entities. The role offers broad exposure, progression potential, and the chance to contribute to a high-performing finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone Part-Qualified or Newly-Qualified looking for development and to work closely with the Finance Manager in managing accounts across the multiple entities within the group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of the P&L, providing accurate analysis and commentary.
- Produce monthly reporting packs for group companies, highlighting key variances against budget.
- Post month-end journals and ensure accurate financial close in line with reporting deadlines.
- Reconcile daily sales and bank activity.
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register.
- Complete monthly reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts, flagging concerns as needed.
- Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions.
- Monitor aged debt and escalate issues accordingly.
- Support with periodic stock takes and ensure accurate reporting.
- Allocate incoming cash accurately across customer accounts.
- Submit statistical reporting to the Office for National Statistics.
- Deliver regular sales reporting and insights.
- Support the annual budgeting and planning process.
- Liaise with external auditors and consultants at year-end and throughout the financial cycle.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Experience in a management accounting or similar finance role.
- Sage 200 experience would be an advantage.
