This is a rare opportunity to join a profitable, private equity backed SME at a pivotal point in its journey. The business is scaling rapidly, executing a clear value creation plan and gearing up for its next phase of expansion and eventual exit. To support this, the business has created a new FP&A Manager role. You will sit at the heart of decision-making, working directly with the senior leadership and C-suite to help shape strategy, investment decisions and performance.
This is a hands-on, commercially focused role where insight matters as much as accuracy. You will take ownership of financial analysis, modelling and performance insight, helping translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations. Beyond the numbers, you will challenge assumptions, support growth initiatives and help the leadership team make better, faster decisions in a high-growth, PE-backed environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in pace, enjoys ambiguity, and wants direct exposure to strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Head of FP&A to deliver budgeting, forecasting, reforecasting and scenario planning in a fast-moving environment
- Build and enhance financial models to support growth initiatives, investment cases and strategic decisions
- Own data integrity: cleansing, reconciling and structuring financial and operational data for robust analysis
- Define, track and evolve KPIs across the business, ensuring insight is delivered daily and weekly to senior stakeholders
- Support SLT and C-suite with commercial analysis, ad-hoc projects and strategic deep dives
- Contribute to investor reporting and performance reviews with PE stakeholders
- Mentor and develop junior finance team members, embedding a strong analytical and commercial mindset
About You
- ACA qualified, with experience in commercial or corporate finance
- Strong financial modelling capability with the ability to turn complexity into clarity
- Commercially minded, confident challenging senior stakeholders with data-led insight
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI or similar tools (highly desirable)
- Comfortable working with imperfect data and improving processes as you go
- Experience in a PE-backed, high-growth or entrepreneurial environment is a strong advantage
- Self-starter with resilience, curiosity and the confidence to operate autonomously
- Results-focused, energetic and comfortable operating at pace with evolving priorities
What's On Offer
- A genuinely impactful role in a high-growth, PE-backed business
- Direct exposure to the C-suite, senior leadership team and engaged private equity investors
- The chance to help shape and scale the FP&A function from the inside
- First-hand experience of a private equity value creation plan and exit journey
- Flexible working and a pragmatic, supportive culture
- Significant progression potential as the business continues to scale
