Sovrin Plastics is an injection moulding and Contract Manufacturing Organisation (CMO) of medical devices. As an engineering focused company, Sovrin Plastics has an excellent opportunity for an experienced technically-led Project Manager with proven knowledge of injection moulding and tooling in the Medical and Pharma sectors, to join their close-knit Engineering team. The successful applicant will work closely with customers and all other departments at Sovrin on new projects from conception, through validation and into production. This role will be site-based and the candidate will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day Technical management of tooling, assembly and / or infrastructure projects throughout the business.
Key job responsibilities
· Management of projects with a hands-on approach, including RFQ’s, cost estimating and NPI processes
· Management of process validation activities
· Manage and maintain project plans and support project teams
· Customer Account management
· Support risk management and assessments
· Support production, sampling and technical meetings
· Management of DFM / DFA reviews
· Management of Design Qualification
· Development of new processes
· Provide technical liaison including product design feasibility and material selection
· Support senior management in defining company strategies, specification and procurement of capital equipment
· Maintain compliance with ISO13485, GMP, GDP, DI and H&S requirements
· Authoring, training and maintenance of work instructions
· Continuous improvement, working with Sovrin departments and with customers to support improvement activities
· Contribute to the review and development of the Quality Management System to current and future ISO and customer requirements
· Support third party, customer and internal audit requirements
· Contribute to CAPA and Root Cause Analysis
· Support the business at trade shows and exhibitions
· Willingness to travel if required and occasional requirements to spend time away on business
Qualifications / Experience
· HNC/HND or equivalent in Production Engineering
· Relevant industry experience
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
