The Work You’ll Do:
- Commercial Account Managers are responsible for working with existing clients and new clients to sell company products including negotiating and closing long‑term contracts.
- This role will be responsible for the sales process from BRFC to close, while leveraging resources effectively throughout the sales cycle on strategic deals, while articulating the value propositions of Sovos’ products and services.
- This role will work with various departments throughout the company with an emphasis on Sales, Legal and Finance.
More Specifically You Will:
- Prospect within assigned territory to create leads for new client sales by growing pipeline opportunities.
- Sell and promote SaaS solutions to new accounts.
- Develop and execute strategic opportunity plans that ensure quota attainment.
- Upsell and cross-sell Sovos solution to customers in existing client base.
- Act with integrity and demonstrate ethical behaviour in all matters with all stakeholders.
- Take full responsibility for ensuring internal and external client satisfaction.
- Leverage multiple communication methods.
- Be skilled at time management and prioritisation.
- Be effective at territory planning and execution.
- Be efficient at asking questions to understand needs and uncover opportunities.
- Act as a role model and mentor across the organisation sharing best practices and messaging.
- Show willingness to learn from other sales roles, internal business partners, and client experiences.
What We Need From You:
- Ability to navigate and manage end-to-end sales cycles.
- 1-3 years’ experience as BDR, quota‑carrying Sales role or similar; software solution sales preferred.
- Knowledge of contact management solutions, preferably Salesforce.com.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Business travel may be required to attend client meetings and conferences.
- Interact effectively with teammates, colleagues, and customers.
- Comprehend and communicate complex concepts.
- Concentrate, analyse and resolve complex problems.
- Utilise technology (e.g. phone systems, computer hardware and software applications) to fulfil work requirements and effective communication.
- Make their own opportunities for learning experiences.
- Learn from support for additional insight on how the solution works.
- Understand how the product works from Support POV.
