The Work You’ll Do

At Sovos, we're looking for a Business Development Representative to be the driving force behind building market demand for our industry‑leading compliance solutions.

This is a high‑energy, high‑impact role where you'll connect with potential customers, uncover opportunities, and set the stage for meaningful business relationships — working at the intersection of sales and marketing to turn leads into conversations and conversations into qualified opportunities for our sales team.

  • Work directly with prospective customers to identify and develop sales opportunities, achieving daily, weekly, and monthly activity targets whilst meeting and exceeding pipeline creation and revenue quotas.
  • Effectively qualify inbound leads and leverage AI tools to provide high-quality opportunities for the sales team, ensuring a strong handoff to Account Executives.
  • Partner with Account Executives to identify and execute territory plans, autonomously managing multiple priorities and actively driving effective pipeline development.
  • Execute a formalised business development process with consistency and creativity, adapting your approach to engage confidently with mid‑level and executive contacts.
  • Recommend improvements to business development strategies, processes, documents, and tools to benefit internal teams and external prospects, drawing on data insights and AI-assisted workflows where applicable.
  • What We Need From You
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, with fluency in Spanish (both verbal and written).
  • Minimum of 0-12 months as a successful Business Development Representative or equivalent success in a BDR role, with proven history of achieving and exceeding monthly quotas for dials, appointments, and opportunities.
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset, exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), and the ability to present to groups of all sizes.
  • Self‑motivated and quick to learn new concepts and technologies, with comfort using AI‑assisted workflows and modern sales tools to drive productivity.
  • Proficiency with contact management solutions (e. g. Salesforce. com) and Microsoft Office suite, with strong planning, organising, and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Creative problem‑solving abilities with an assertive, persistent approach to outreach and a genuine desire to learn and improve.
  • Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check upon hire.
