The Work You’ll Do
As a Business Development Associate at Sovos, you’ll be the driving force behind building market demand for our industry-leading compliance solutions. This is a high-energy, high-impact role where you’ll connect with potential customers, uncover opportunities, and set the stage for meaningful business relationships. You’ll work at the intersection of sales and marketing—turning leads into conversations and conversations into qualified opportunities for our sales team. More Specifically, You Will:
- Work directly with prospective customers to identify and develop sales opportunities
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly activity targets
- Meet and exceed pipeline creation and revenue quotas
- Effectively qualify inbound leads to provide high-quality opportunities for the sales team
- Partner with Account Executives to identify and execute territory plans
- Execute a formalised business development process with consistency and creativity
- Recommend improvements to business development strategies, processes, documents, and tools to benefit internal teams and external prospects
- Autonomously manage multiple priorities and actively drive effective pipeline development
What We Need From You:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Fluency in French, both verbal and written
- Strong team player with a collaborative mindset and a drive to make the Business Development team better
- Quota experience is a plus with demonstrated ability to exceed targets
- General understanding of business, financial systems, and organisational decision-making
- Ability to engage confidently with mid-level and executive contacts
- Self-motivated and quick to learn new concepts and technologies
- Effective communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) with the ability to present to groups of all sizes
- Strong planning, organising, and prioritisation abilities
- Excellent multi-tasking skills with keen attention to detail
- Proficiency with contact management solutions (e.g., Salesforce.com) and Microsoft Office suite
- Creative and adaptable communication style
- Assertive and persistent approach to outreach
- Creative problem-solving abilities with a genuine desire to learn and improve
Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check upon hire.
