The Work Youâll Do
As a Product Owner ISV Functionality, you will ensure that requirements from ISV partners, marketâfacing teams, and internal stakeholders are clearly understood, prioritised, and delivered into highâquality product capabilities. This is a primarily inwardâfacing role acting as the main liaison between Product Management, Engineering, and partnerâsupporting teams. You will focus on building and improving product functionality that enables ISV and embedded partners to deliver scalable, compliant solutions using Sovos technology. You will also support sales engineering, implementation, and customer support with subjectâmatter expertise on partnerârelated features.
More Specifically, You Will:
- Act as the primary liaison between Product Management and Engineering to support ISV and embeddedârelated development.
- Collect and refine requirements from ISV partners, marketâfacing Product Managers, internal teams, and end users.
- Coordinate the creation of mockups, prototypes, and requirement documentation.
- Maintain and prioritise the product backlog to maximise outcomes aligned with product strategy.
- Write and present Product Requirements Documents (PRDs).
- Review and approve functional specifications, ensuring alignment with intended use cases and partner needs.
- Oversee delivery progress and provide decisions that help remove blockers during development.
- Communicate updates and progress to stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
- Coordinate testing cycles, including UAT, alpha, and beta programmes.
- Collect, coordinate, and prioritise bug fixes and usability improvements.
What We Need From You:
- 4+ years of experience in a related field.
- Experience in B2B SaaS, business analysis, or product development preferred.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and APIs, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear product requirements.
- Full understanding of the Product Owner role within an Agile environment.
- Strong judgement and decisionâmaking skills, with the ability to act quickly when required.
- Experience mentoring or advising teams on PO best practices.
- Ability to manage a multiâteam backlog without requiring daily oversight.
