The Work You’ll Do
- The Field Marketing Manager is responsible for planning, organizing and executing programs that generate new prospects and advance existing opportunities for the sales team.
- As a field marketer, you are the spider in the web; it’s your job to start the conversations, make the connections, and collaborate with subject matter experts across the organization to create marketing campaigns employing tactics such as events, digital marketing, and account‑based marketing to generate leads for your business.
- You will manage the development of marketing plans, consisting of multi‑touch, multi‑dimensional programs including both inbound and outbound tactics that target our addressable market.
This is a 12‑month full‑time contractor position.
- Develop and implement demand‑creation and pipeline acceleration programs aligned with overall business goals.
- Forecast, measure, analyze, and report on the impact of programs.
- Proactively engage with the direct and business development teams to coordinate, communicate, and optimize the impact of marketing activities.
- Develop and implement target‑account strategy to support account‑based marketing and selling efforts.
- Communicate and educate the sales team regarding new and planned marketing activities including global and local programs.
- Communicate with senior leadership on an ongoing basis to ensure successful follow‑through of all qualified opportunities and to identify and research key contacts and titles at target accounts.
- Plan, organize, and execute ABM programs that result in substantial new sales opportunity creation.
- Interface with sales to determine sales enablement needs, and work with product marketing to develop tools, programs in a box, training, and content.
- Develop thoughtful, targeted programs that capture market share and strengthen Sovos brand in a fast‑changing market.
- Target segmentation analysis, budgeting, and building business cases for new customer acquisition.
- Understand the B2B sales cycle and identify opportunities to maximize demand creation, pipeline contribution, and sales opportunity acceleration.
- Clearly articulate a market‑specific value proposition and tailor it to fit a variety of program requirements.
- Responsible for campaign planning, including the detailed 3‑month and 6‑month planning calendars, and securing internal stakeholder buy‑in. Campaigns include, but are not limited to, email, Terminus, LinkedIn, and Google SEM.
- Event management, including collaboration with the Sovos Event Manager for annual event decisions, event preparation, feedback collection, and event follow‑up coordination, utilizing BDRs.
- Responsible for webinar execution, including internal communication with stakeholders.
What We Need From You
- BA/BS in business or comparable education plus leadership experience in marketing.
- Five or more years in B2B marketing.
- Three or more years in a leadership role within marketing.
- Proven experience working with sales teams and supporting programs to drive awareness and sales; actual sales experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to demonstrate a track record of success in all key areas of responsibility.
- Highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast‑paced team environment and is readily adaptable to changing market and organizational requirements.
- Ability to consistently produce results on time and within budget.
- Ability to align tactical plans with strategies.
- Inbound marketing strategy/execution experience and strong understanding of digital marketing tactics.
- Strong curiosity for new marketing trends and best practices that apply to target markets.
- Account‑Based Marketing and named‑account marketing experience.
- Able to market to a range of B2B buyers using a wide variety of offers (e.g., white papers, case studies, webcasts) and delivery mechanisms (email, telephone, direct mail).
- Proven experience with Salesforce.com and Marketo.
