Pt 2 Scaffolder
We are currently looking for a Pt 2 Scaffolder to join Teal Scaffold at The Sovini Group.

This position is a permanent opportunity
As a Pt 2 Scaffolder, you will be expected to:
- Assist the scaffold team in erection and dismantling of all scaffold operations, including complex design structures- proprietary scaffold systems.
- Assist with the development of employees within the company offering support and guidance on a day-to-day basis.
- Carry out scaffolding duties and tasks competently and safely in accordance with all applicable legislation.
- Drive 7.5t wagon if you have the credentials to do so.
- Take instruction and carry out the operational duties of projects ensuring they are completed in the set timescales.
- Reporting of any incidents, however minor to your Team Leader and/or Manager immediately.
- The full implementation of risk assessments and method statements.
- Assist the team leader in ensuring that all scaffolds are securely fixed to permanent structures and carry out of associated testing of all fixing points.
- Keep all appropriate records and complete any necessary paperwork required by the company and the Client, pull test reports, Harness inspection records, Near Miss Reports, Work variation orders, TG: 20 Compliance sheets, Scaffold designs Task Specific Risk Assessments and the Safe Start Team Briefing Form and any other paper work relating to your works.
- Ensure all vehicles are loaded and unloaded safely. Ensure all your daily and scheduled inspections of vehicles are completed and documented.
- Always work to a safe system of work that is appropriate to the design of scaffold required when Erecting, Dismantling and Altering Scaffolds. You must always use your Harness, Lanyard, Safety Step and Advanced Handrails working to SG4:15 at all times.
- Erect the scaffolding fully in accordance to the either the appropriate TG standard or bespoke design that has been prepared for the installation.
- Complete a POWRA as required.
- Complete any team briefings as required in the absence of and Advanced Scaffolder.
- Always act professionally and lead by example. Ensure all trainees, and labourers under comply with the company procedures and the content of your Risk Assessment, Method Statement and Dismantling Plan.
- Ensure all harnesses, lanyards and safety steps are checked daily. The company will undertake an inspection every three months and complete a written report as required.
- Ensure all materials being used are in good condition.
- Ensure all materials are stacked safety on site at all times, never leave materials stood up against the scaffold or buildings.
- Ensure all scaffolds are safe before they are handed over to the user including completion of certification and Scaff Tags (where appropriate) and uploaded to the portal for future reference.
- Ensure all scaffolds are safe before they are altered or dismantled. All works should be in accordance with the dismantling plan.
- Liaise with Client and Site Safety Personnel.
- Ensure all works are carried out and completed to a high standard. To identify specific needs for customers and ensure the service is tailored accordingly.
- Develop the companys commitment to equality and diversity and to promote non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of work undertaken.
- Adhere with section 7 of the Health and Safety at Work Act to take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts and omissions.

To be successful in a Pt 2 Scaffolder role, the skills you will need:
- CISRS Scaffolder card.
- Ability to safely erect and dismantle scaffold toTG20: current edition.
- Experience working in a scaffold business.
- A full understanding TG20: current edition & SG4:22 with the ability to adhere to SG4:22 at all times.
- Completing scaffolding works on both Construction Sites and Live Residential Properties.
- Have the ability to use a PDA to collate necessary Data everyday so we have a full audit trail of all jobs as per our contractual agreements.
- Able to lead a small team if required (usually in the absence of an Advanced Scaffolder) pending work type.
- Effective communication at all levels in the business.
- Excellent understanding of the vision for Teal Scaffold as communicated through the Sovini Group.
- Commitment to customer care and the provision of a high quality service.
- A high level of self-motivation and enthusiasm.
- Excellent communication skills, able to communicate across multiple channels including Microsoft Teams, Face to Face and Email.
- To demonstrate The Sovini Groups values in your day to day job role Success, Passion, Authenticity, Courage, Enterprise.
Experience or Knowledge of the below would be advantageous but not essential:
- CITB Health and Safety CSCS card.
- Driving license held for a minimum of 12 months with C1 Heavy Good License.
- Basic financial understanding of key targets for your team on a daily and weekly basis.
