We are currently looking for a Multi Skilled Operative to join Sovini Property Services, part of The Sovini Group. As a Multi Skilled Operative, you will be expected to:

  • Carry out repairs and maintenance to customer homes in a safe and proper manner, ensuring works are completed to a consistent high standard in addition to providing our customers with their best experience of customer service.
  • Provide an efficient and effective service as a member of the Operations Team, creating an environment enjoyable to work in, to include colleagues, both trade and office staff as part of your team.

To be successful in a Multi Skilled Operative role, the skills you will need:

  • Experience of working in a building environment and completing repair work in occupied homes and void properties.
  • A knowledge of relevant legislation and/or Codes of Practice i.e. Construction, Building Regulations and Health & Safety.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with home owners, external agencies and office based colleagues.
  • Able to plan and prioritise to ensure the effective use of own time.
  • Commitment to providing a high quality service to all customers.
  • Able to form and maintain good working relationships at all levels, internally and externally.
  • Able to undertake all joinery works including kitchen fitting and patch plastering, painting, wall and floor tiling, all to a high standard.
  • Able to undertake all aspects of roofing repair work, soffit/gutter repair work, all to a high standard.
  • Able to undertake ground works including fencing, flagging and brickwork to a high standard.
  • Hold full UK driving licence with maximum of 6 penalty points.

Experience or Knowledge of the below would be advantageous but not essential:

  • Qualified to a minimum level of City and Guilds NVQ or equivalent (level 2).
  • Competent in three of the following: Joinery, Plumbing, Plastering, Floor and Wall Tiling.
  • Familiar with PDA and other electronic devices.
  • Experience working in repairs and maintenance in housing services.
