We are currently looking for an Electrician to join The Sovini Group. This position is a permanent opportunity. As an Electrician you will be expected to:

  • Carry out electrical installations, repairs, maintenance, in accordance with the current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally and to a consistently high standard.
  • Be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, ensuring customers receive a positive experience and that all work meets regulatory and quality requirements.
  • Be an integral member of the team, providing an efficient and effective electrical service, working collaboratively with both trade operatives and office-based staff.
  • Contribute to a positive, supportive and productive working environment, demonstrating professionalism, teamwork and a commitment to continuous improvement in service delivery.
  • Commit to equality and diversity and to promote non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of work undertaken.
  • Adhere to the Health and Safety at Work Act to take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts and omissions.

To be successful in an Electrician role, the skills you will need:

  • Formal technical qualification in Electrical Installation.
  • Qualified to City & Guilds 236 Part 1 & 2 (or equivalent).
  • NVQ 3 for electrical installation.
  • City & Guilds 2381/18th edition wiring regulations.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and/or Codes of Practice i.e., Construction, Building Regulations and Health & Safety.
  • The ability to deliver work plans to timetable, often under pressure.
  • Sound practical knowledge of electrical, construction and maintenance functions.
  • Able to form and maintain good working relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Experience of working in a building environment and completing electrical repair work in occupied homes.
  • Ability to correctly isolate and prove isolation before working on electrical circuits.
  • Installation experience with all types of cable and cable management.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Have an extensive tool selection to carry out electrical work, e.g. Cordless power tools, VDE Hand tools.
