Recruitment: Fire & EVAC Commissioning Engineer
Job Summary:
Working alone, or with other Engineers within the team, Fire & EVAC Commissioning Engineers provide professional and dependable quality of service to customer/contractors commissioning Fire and EVAC in a timely manner. This will include setting up of cause and effects and completing the required commissioning paperwork.
Main Duties:
- Seeing Installation projects through to completion and reporting to Projects Supervisor/Manager.
- Commissioning of the following systems, including:
- Advanced, Gent, Apollo and Hochiki. Emergency Voice Alarm Communication systems. Public Address Systems and Audio Induction Loops.
- Installation of new Fire & Security systems to meet company requirements.
- Complete the necessary paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
- Attend reactive warranty calls and breakdowns, including tracing and rectification of faults.
Skills & Qualities Required:
- Full driving license required and willing to travel throughout UK including overnight stays where required
- Flexible attitude and approach including excellent interpersonal skills
- Confident, friendly and can conduct themselves in a professional manner
- Works well as part of a team but also confident working independently and can fault find on most systems
- Enhanced security check clearance
- H&S trained
Skills & Experience Preferred:
- Significant experience as a multi-disciplined Fire & or Security Engineer
- Commissioning experience
- Understanding & knowledge of Gent, Advanced, Hochiki and other fire alarm systems
