Are you an experienced contracts professional with expertise in heating and ventilation services? SNG is seeking a Lead Contracts Manager – Heating and Ventilation to lead the delivery of planned, responsive and cyclical works across our outsourced heating programmes. Supporting over 86,000 homes throughout the South of England, including London, you'll play a vital role in driving contractor performance, ensuring compliance and delivering outstanding outcomes for our customers.

The role: As Lead Contracts Manager – Heating and Ventilation, you will lead the delivery of planned, responsive and cyclical works across SNG's outsourced heating programmes. Working closely with contractors and suppliers, you will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while championing health, safety and environmental best practice. You will be responsible for driving high-quality service delivery, ensuring value for money and maintaining excellent standards across all outsourced activities in line with SNG's specifications and expectations.

You will oversee contractor performance throughout the full delivery lifecycle, using robust contract management practices to ensure all legislative, regulatory and compliance obligations are consistently met. Leading a team of Contracts and Compliance Specialists, you will ensure effective governance through regular performance reviews, site inspections, quality audits and stakeholder engagement. The role also holds responsibility for budget management, ensuring financial performance is effectively monitored and controlled while delivering safe, compliant and customer-focused outcomes.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Previous experience managing third party suppliers.
  • Experience and technical knowledge of gas safety and gas commercial contract management.
  • Experience in delivering large scale gas testing programs.
  • Experience and technical knowledge of communal ventilation systems in housing.
  • Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Gas Maintenance & Repair or equivalent & Gas safe registered and accredited to ACS qualifications.
  • Knowledge and understanding of current building regulations.
  • Ability to be office based and travel between SNG sites as required.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).
  • Working knowledge of current Health & Safety regulations in CDM regulations.
  • Ability to understand legislative documents such as asbestos surveys.
  • Ability to collate accurate records of the project, from conception to finish, ensuring all documentation relating to the project is collated and stored in the correct location.
