We are currently seeking a Regional Repairs Director to join us based from our Wembley office, this opportunity will include some travel to other SNG locations including Hertford.

The role

The successful applicant will lead a team to deliver a reactive repairs, voids and maintenance services which is customer centric, high quality and provides value for money for SNG, ensuring that all statutory legislative requirements are met.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Leading on strategic and operational elements of reactive repairs, voids works management, legal disrepair, damp and mould case management, and estate services delivery across SNG\’s London & Hertford locality.
  • Budget management with responsibility of developing budgets to contribute to the overall annual budgeting process. Leading on procurement of contracted repairs, void works management and maintenance services within the region and support developing procurement strategies for future delivery methods.
  • Ensuring effective risk management and processes are in place across service area; ensuring compliance with timescales associated with current and future disrepair and damp and mould legislation.
  • Accountability for the delivery of reactive property maintenance and projects to agreed performance and financial standards and targets, ensuring customer satisfaction, cost effectiveness and value for money.
  • Development & monitoring of targets for key performance indicators across all operational areas.
  • Setting and maintaining high levels of safe working practices across all areas of property maintenance and improvement services in line with health and safety legislation and CDM.

What we\’re looking for:

  • Advanced experience of managing a large contract management function which facilitates the delivery of reactive repairs, maintenance and estate services through multiple third-party contractors.
  • Previous experience of leading, managing, delivering teams that are responsible for the day-to-day management of third-party contractors and the services they deliver.
  • Excellent practical knowledge of property related risk management and performance improvement in a social housing environment.
  • Ability to plan, track and forecast income and expenditure against relevant budgets, to deliver a value for money service.
  • Strong people skills and an effective communicator, able to influence and challenge.
  • Knowledge of relevant health, safety and environmental legislation with focus on compliance within all activities undertaken by the teams.
  • Commitment to high ethical standards of integrity and honesty, and an understanding of the value and importance of developing a culture that makes SNG a Great Place to Work.
