The Role

As an experienced Cyber Security Analyst, you'll play a key role in keeping our systems safe. Working closely with our external Security Operations Centre (SOC) and internal teams, you'll watch systems, respond to threats, and handle security issues. You'll need hands‑on experience in network security checking, threat hunting work and managing firewall settings. You'll also bring good knowledge of cloud security best practices including IAM, workload protection and secure setups of cloud services to meet our standards. You'll be part of a team‑focused cyber security group that helps all areas of the business, making sure our systems, apps, and data stay secure and meet all needed rules and standards.

Key Tasks

  • Watch and check security alerts using SIEM and other security tools
  • Work with the SOC and internal teams to sort out and fix security issues, including reducing risks
  • Look for threats and check system logs
  • Update, maintain and improve our monitoring systems
  • Help and guide junior team members
  • Fix security weaknesses across our systems and cloud setups
  • Help check and manage firewall rules
  • Take part in an on‑call rota for after‑hours cyber issue response

What We're Looking For

  • At least 2 years of experience in a senior Cyber Security Analyst role or similar
  • Good knowledge of cyber security basics and best practices
  • Experience with SIEM tools, firewall and weakness management
  • Proven experience of log checking and KQL
  • Good knowledge of cloud, network, and device security concepts
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and careful attention to detail
  • Good communication and record‑keeping skills
