Join Sovereign Network Group (SNG) as a Debt Adviser, based at Hurn, Greenham, or Blandford. This role follows a hybrid model combining home, office, and residential visits.

Responsibilities

  • Provide FCA‑regulated debt advice to customers, including those in vulnerable situations.
  • Assess customers’ finances, carrying out detailed income and expenditure reviews.
  • Negotiate with creditors and agencies such as local authorities, DWP, and utility companies.
  • Maintain accurate, compliant case records and ensure data quality.
  • Build trust‑based relationships with customers and partners.
  • Refer customers to additional support services where appropriate.
  • Mentor less experienced colleagues and contribute to the development of the debt advice service.

Qualifications

  • Accredited or working towards accreditation in Debt Advice (e.g., Institute of Money Advisers CertMAP or Citizens Advice).
  • Strong knowledge of welfare benefits, income maximisation, and arrears prevention.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, adaptable to varied customer needs.
  • Experience managing varied caseloads while maintaining compliance.
  • Background working with vulnerable customers in housing, financial, or advice services (desirable).
